About Eggs

Or so you would think.  But, unlike Americans, not all eggs are created equal.

There are chicken eggs, duck eggs, goose eggs, turkey eggs, swan eggs, ostrich eggs, emu eggs, rhea eggs, guinea fowl eggs, quail eggs, pheasant eggs, finch eggs and parakeet eggs.

There are white eggs, brown eggs, blue eggs, green eggs, taupe eggs, speckled eggs and ivory eggs.

There are small eggs, pullet eggs, medium eggs, large eggs, extra large eggs, and jumbo eggs.

There are more sizes, shapes and colors of eggs in Heaven and Earth than are dreamt of in your Philosophies, Horatio.

And an awful lot of them can be used for writing pysanky.

On the pages that follow I will share my knowledge of various eggs, and that culled from my friends and my reading.  The emphasis will be characteristics that are of importance in pysankarstvo, but fun facts are fun facts, and will be included!
