My Favorite Things:

Scotch-Brite Sponges

I use these Scotch-Brite non-scratch scrub sponges to clean my eggs.  After a soak in some water and Ivory dish soap, I use these bright blue pads to clean the egg.  The cellulosic side is good for getting chicken dirt and other stains off; the sponge side is good for a quick clean of a store-bought egg.

The cellulosic side is tough enough to give the shell a good cleaning, but gentle enough not to damage the cuticle.  It is meant for non-stick cookware and other sensitive surfaces, and the size and shape make it comfortable, and not awkward, to hold.

I buy these in bulk at my local Costco; you can also buy them anywhere cleaning supplies are sold.
