The pysanky below are from the collection of the National Museum of Ukrainian Decorative Folk Art  (Національний музей українського народного декоративного мистецтва) located in Kyiv at the Pecherska Lavra (Monastery of the Caves).

The pysanky in these photos date back to the late 19th and early 20th centuries; they are made with natural dyes, and the colors have faded.  I took these photos at high ISO in ambient light.  Some are, unfortunately, a bit out of focus.

Several pysanky in this collection were included in Kulzhynsky’s 1899 catalog.
