Monastyryshche is an agricultural region, mostly steppe. It also used to produce pysanky, a few of which were collected and recorded by Danylo Shcherbakivskyi in the early 1900s.

Mytsyk and Fysun included two pysanky from the Monastyryshche region in their book, from the villages of Monastyryshche (Монастирище) (
) and Tsybuliv (Цибулів) (
). The pysanky below are recreated from their interpretations of Shcherbakivskyi’s line drawings.
