Khrystynivka raion
Христинівський район
This raion is in far western Cherkasy oblast, just above Uman raion. This area used to produce pysanky, a few of which were collected and recorded by Danylo Shcherbakivskyi in the early 1900s.
Mytsyk and Fysun included two pysanky from the Monastyryshche region in their book, from the villages of Khrystynivka (Христинівка) ( 
) and Rosishky (Росішки) ( 
). These villages are now a part of Khrystynivka raion. The pysanky below are recreated from their interpretations of Shcherbakivskyi’s line drawings.
